Design Concepts
Print + Pattern
Taking inspiration from experts in color theory like Matisse and Mondrian to create prints rich in color and energy. We developed two patterns: confetti and busy streets. Confetti took inspiration from the texture found in paper confetti thrown in the streets of Carnaval, adding rough and torn edges gave a realistic unique look. The busy streets were inspired by art from the Destijl movement, meaning “simplest form." Keeping an abstract look throughout artwork and using traditional Brazilian colors to capture the energy of Carnaval.
